Management Team for Sovis
Rodger Rapsey
Rodger has over 30 years of experience under his belt in the sound industry. He was a founding director of The PA People NZ Ltd before moving to Australia in 1992 where he assumed directorship of The PA People Pty Ltd in Sydney. In his position as the Sales Director, he has designed, engineered and project managed a substantial number of installations in public environments where sound reinforcements were necessary: churches, schools, lecture theatres, stadiums.
In 2002 he moved to the Gold Coast to take up the position of General Manager of Bose Professional Products for the Globe where he oversaw product research and development, manufacturing, sales and marketing. During his tenure, he was also instrumental in the development of a new and innovative range of products. His experience overseas has deepened his understanding of the pro audio field and allowed him to develop a network of strong industry-related relationships.
2008 he returned to his passion for pro and commercial audio product R&D and development. Also, at this time he established audio distribution businesses in Australia and New Zealand supporting the product developed and others.
Rodger is highly regarded for being perceptive to the market needs and astute in selecting quality products that meet markets requirements.
Michael Tien
Alvin Tien
Alvin has worked with Audio Visual System design and Installations for over 20 years, starting as a project assistant in 1996. He has designed multiple systems for schools and places of worship in Singapore, such as the Church of St Mary of the Angels, St Joseph’s Church, Bukit Timah and Churhc of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour.
Beyond his technical expertise and deep understanding of audio prediction & simulation software, Alvin also holds a diploma in Electronics Engineering, a Bachelor’s of Engineering and a Master in Business Administration.
His engineering background and design thinking sets him apart as he delivers out-of-the-box solutions for clients.
Bernard Tan
Bernard has over 20 years of experience handling audio/visual, pro-sound equipment/devices and interfaces and has worked with various pro-audio companies. His core expertise is to implement and automate end-user workflow and ensure solid methodology by introducing new ways to improve design and implementation.
He is well versed in the audio prediction & simulation software engineered by Bose which helps to map key system metrics, including acoustics measurements, coverage, loudness, and speech intelligibility. With a good mix of knowledge on system integration, system design & workflow with people related
